May...already....

As Mother's Day approaches us this weekend, I think of how thrilled I am to be the mother of 2 healthy little girls. They have taught me so much about life and love, and they do not even know it. They are everything to me and the reason I stay home everyday to ever miss anything with them. Which some days can be pretty overwhelming! Whoever said being a stay at home mom was easy and full of bon bons and watching TV------has never been a stay at home mom before. It is more like cleaning, meal preparing, playing, laundry, daily tasks, and the list gos on and on. I am still very honored to be able to stay home though and would not trade it for anything!

To all Moms, Happy Mother's Day because you deserve it and you are the one who keeps the house together and strong!

I also wanted to share some family/girls pictures we had taken about a month ago. To me as most of you all know, pictures mean a A LOT to me and I have many of them in my house. I never want to regret the day where I did not do a family picture because of my insecurities because I do not want it to be to late. (After all that the Thovson family has been through I think they can all understand where I am coming from.) So to me it is important and Jake gets it when I do some explaining! (He is great! Love him tons too! He is my best friend and my amazing husband for almost 6 years!) And the lady who took them could not help herself and needed to get some of our pretty girls!!! She was so amazed by all of our SUPER blue eyes!!!

As you can tell, I am feeling a little mushy today! Not sure where this is all coming from. I am just so thankful for everything right now, even on my hard days.

Spring....Can you hear me?

I am back after being gone from the blog for awhile. Just waiting for Spring to show up one day. It will be 55 here one day then snowing and 30's the next day. Gotta love MN. Think I would be used to it after living here my whole life (except those couple years in SD, but really what is the differnece!) I know one day Spring and Summer will be here and I love that!

Gabrielle is still attending preschool 2 days a week. She loves it. She is so proud to show us eveything she has done that day out of her school bag when she gets home. She is a great helper around the house!

Avery will be 9 months on the 10th of April. She is growing so fast. S

he now has 2 teeth and is "taking steps" while holding onto things. Such as moving from one thing to another using shuffle steps. (If that makes any sense to anyone!) She will hopfully be getting over being sick soon. She is up coughing all night and the house is not getting much sleep.

Avery is now crawling. She is just learning and still getting the hang of it. But set her down on the floor and if she wants something she will will be to it before you know it! So much fun watching her learn new things! And she is also waving bye bye! So cute!

7 Months Old

Our little girl is now 7 Months old!!!! She is growing up so fast! Her 2 teeth are SLOWLY coming in. They seem to not cause her pain, so far at least! Gabrielle always did really well when her teeth were coming in, so hope Avery is the same! She has been happy and healthy. Loves playing with her toys, laughing at and with her BIG SISTER and just being a happy and cute little girl. We are so blessed with 2 beautiful girls who we love tons.

We are very excited for the HEAT wave that is heading our way. No more -20, bring on the 30's and maybe low 40's for this next week. This is going to be great. Spring will be here soon!

Just a little update!

We have received 9 (or more) inches of snow in the last few days! I has been just great! Or not! Sorry the Thovson family is very sick of snow! Ready for the nicer/Spring weather to come in the next months! Avery is getting her 1st tooth in and almost crawling! She sure gets around rooms without crawling yet. She pushes herself back ward! Gabrielle is still Gabrielle! She is not liking having pictures taken lately! That is why they are always of Avery! Must be the 4 going on 14 year old mood that Gabrielle is going through! Love my girls and of course my great husband!

6 Months

Yesterday was Avery's 6 month check up in Sioux Falls! Just Avery and I attened this event this time! And what fun it was! Avery weighed in at 16.6 lbs (in the 50%), 26 inches long (in the 80%) and ha s a big head still! Doctor Z said she is doing great and looking great! Passed all her tests. Got 3 shots and some liquid in the mouth too! That was for sure her favorite part...the shots and the liquid.....or not she cried and cried. And I tried to be there for her holding her hands, but she did not care till I could pick her up. Then, the crying stopped! Love that little Princess! Did a little shopping while in the "big town" and come home. Last night, Avery spiked a fever at aboout midnight. Jake went to feed her and she was on fire with a temp. Gave her some Tylonal and love and she finally got some sleep, but not much. Then the fever was knocking on the door again this morning. Hoping this does not last through the night tonight.

Everything else is about the same. Preschool for Gabrielle, work for Jake and me being the "President of the house"
