July 1st, 2012 was the BIG day our little man made his appearance. After a very FAST trip to Sioux Falls, Jake nervous he would be delivering on the side of the road and me in pain....we made it to the ER. In we went, where the nurses decided I was indeed in labor and was dilated to about a 5. Then I walked to Labor and Delivery (a short but long walk when contracting very often) when my water broke (there was not a huge gush like I thought would happen!) I got "settled" into the L&D room and was checked by the nurses where I was now a 7 in this short time! I was progressing super fast and in a lot of pain! Mr. Landon's heart beat started dropping into the 40's and 50's with the contractions putting Mommy and Daddy in a frenzy and the nurses too! They tried turning me side to side (which would help for a short period, till the next contraction). Turning me was not helping enough so they decided get him out now. And he was born at 7:34pm (aftering arriving to the ER at about 5:30pm). 2 hours later our Son was born and was healthy as can be! He weighed 7lbs 15oz (biggest of all our kids) and was 21 inches long! He looks like the girls I think sometimes and then at other times has his own look! We shall see! He goes to the doctor this Friday for a 2 week check up! Make sure he is putting on weight and everything is looking good! We are blessed! More to come later! I am hoping to take some newborn pictures of him soon, but being a stay at home mom of 3 kids has been a little more hectic then I thought it would be ;)
