Sping is Here, FINALLY!

I think all Minnesotans were thinking Spring had forgot to make a showing in our lovely state!
Ice storms, blizzards....and now almost 100 degree weather! I am not complaining though (for awhile at least!)

Gabrielle is in her last week of school! She will be done this Friday the 31st! Big Kindergarten graduation! Are you kidding me, already!? My "baby" is growing up! She has really done a great job in school this year! We are so very proud of her! Leaning to read has been so neat watching from a Mom and Dad stand point!
She is in soccer this year and is really enjoying it! She practices every Tuesday and Thursday after school and has games every Saturday! Today was her last game and she will have tournament on the 8th! She will be doing swimming lessons and T ball this summer!

Avery is Mom's Little helper everyday! Or maybe Moms little trouble maker....not sure yet! She enjoys playing with her little brother....if this includes, hitting, kicking, pushing, sitting on...then she plays awesome with him! She can not wait until he is a little older so maybe he can fight back more! She LOVES being outside!!!

Landon is a "ham" to say the least! He has 8 teeth, crawling, walking along things, babbling, and clapping! He has grown like a WEED these past months! He loves his sisters and playing with his toys downstairs! He HATES the grass!

Jacob and Danelle  I (Danelle) am not sure what my husband looks like anymore! Yes, SPING planting season has arrived in the Thovson household! Jake has been extremely busy with this!  Jake is either working, eating, or sleeping (Gabrielle says as I type) I have been home with the kids running here and there! Coaching Gabrielle's soccer team (this is my 1st year and I am very much so loving it! I love watching the kids at their games! I feel like a proud Mommy of 8 little soccer players) They have been doing a fantastic job at their games! I have also been taking call for the ambulance 2-4 times a week! Usually 6pm-6am shift, but sometimes 6am-6pm on weekends! I am also loving this! I will be "working" the races in town some Friday nights with the ambulance! I have also joined the summer sand volleyball league in town and look forward to this every Wednesday night!

This is our life in a nut shell!
Thanks for reading!
Come again (says Gabrielle)

Happy New Year!

2013 is here already!
Gabrielle is enjoying school very much! Her 1st teacher conference is coming up soon! We will get to hear from her teacher how everything is going. We know everything will  be positive :) She is getting to be so big! We still can not believe we have a 6 year old. Where does the time go? I remember people always telling me how fast time would go, but you do not understand till you are a mother. Boy, were they right! (I catch myself telling people this now!) She has lost her 2 teeth and been to the dentist for her 6 month checkup and everything looked great! She is getting her 6 year molars now too! She also went to the eye doctor to have her eyes checked (she had been complaining of headaches and thought with Jake's "great vision" glass maybe needed!) But happy to say she has 20/20 vision! Praise the Lord (hope she has my eyes!)
Avery is still a goof ball with the greatest personality (most days). She loves to snuggle with me during the day. And loves to cover her ears when Landon cries and say "Hush, Baby". She is not a great eater, but this too shall pass someday I am sure! She LOVES the IPAD. She plays Temple Run (scores almost 100,000 at times) and learning apps! She is an electronic junky!
Landon is 6 months old and about 6 feet tall! Ok, maybe not 6 feet, but close. He LOVES to eat, attention, be sang to, and gets very angry at times (gets that from the Thovson side I am sure ;) He is a very happy/smiley baby most of the time though. His next check up is in a couple weeks. ( And we are still working on the torticollis!)
Jake and I are out numbered by the kids most days! LOL!!! Jake is enjoying working and I am enjoying (most days) staying home with the kids! I am officially part of the Murray County Ambulance as an EMT. I am thrilled! Now onto my Paramedic and bridge to RN! I am looking into places
around Slayton to do this all! I am excited beyond words about this adventure! (prayers welcomed!) We are ready for Spring!!!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love, The Thovson's

November....already!

Gabrielle Seems to still enjoy school most days! Friday she came home telling me she "choked" at school. She said her, the kids, and teachers were all scared. Those darn homemade ham sandwiches by daddy! She enjoys her teachers, her friends (new and old) and of course music and gym time! Her and I attended a Justin Bieber concert a couple weekends ago! I had been looking to buy tickets for a couple months and tickets were sold out in a matter of minutes after opening sales! So last minute (night before the concert) I called and sure enough there were 2 for us! So we got them and off we went the next day to the concert! She was very excited to see him (and I was A little excited also!) It was a great concert (something I can say I will do once! I love concerts, but Justin is just not for this 29 year old!) But all that matters is that Gabrielle had a good time and that her and I shared that time together! Something we will remember forever! She is also in Girl Scouts now and has meetings once a month. Sometimes they get together during the month to do fun things too, such as the Halloween party they had on Friday! She is growing up so fast! And we are so proud of her and the beautiful, smart, caring, funny "big" girl she has become! (Gabrielle has now lost 2 teeth. She love the tooth fairy and the $1 she brings!)
Avery She is a doll! This little girl has a personality that is so great. She is so amazing! I am so blessed to have her home with me everyday, because even though she can drive me crazy, she can also melt my heart (as can all my kids!). You never know what is going to come out of her mouth! "I love you mommy", yep melts me right away!
Landon is growing fast. He is now 4 months old. He has his next doctor appointment next week. We get to she how much he has gained and grown! He is probably 25 inches by now! Taking after his Daddy!

October is here..

As I write this post, I am listening to the song "Stealing Cinderella"by Chuck Wicks, I am feeling my heart race, emotions coming over me and tears swelling in my eyes. That song has got me from the 1st time I heard it. Just really makes me realize how fast time goes and to cherish every second with your kids and family. (And really toching home after a 9 year old girl passed away in a ATV accident this weekend right outside of Slayton.) The song is done and I think I can see now to type :)

Gabrielle is enjoying school still  from the sounds of it! It was homecoming week this past week so she enjoyed dressing up the whole week and the parade on Friday. They had pajama day, class color day, Spirit day, animal print, and mis match day. She will be getting her school pictures taken this Wednesday! (now picking out something for her to wear!) She joined girls scouts and is liking that. And attends Sunday school too (which she also loves). She lost her 1st tooth on 9/22/12--- she was very scared about this for a couple weeks. Think she thought if she did not mess with it, it would never fall out and bleed. ( she is scared of blood!)

Avery is Avery (as we always say!) She is such a fun loving and spunky Little girl.
She is getting a little more used to having sister gone a good chuck of the day.  She had her 2 year appt on Friday and she seems to be doing fine! A skinny Mini like her sis! She likes to play with the 2  neighbor girls. She gets very excited when they are outside!

Landon went to his 2 month check up (now he is 3 months though) on Friday with Avery. He is now 24 1/2 inches long. He was 21 at birth! Jeez....he is going to be a 7 footer I think! Seems to be on schedule as far as weight and length. He is having troubles with his neck muscles though. It is called Torticollis. He needs to go to physical therapy to get those muscles worked. We will know more after his first appt tomorrow! Otherwise he is a great little man (most of the time....minus the crying fits that seem to last a hour sometimes) And growing fast!

Jake and I...we are all up to the same things! Updating our family pictures this Wednesday. That will be nice to have all 5 of us in them now instead of 4 of us! So I am excited about that...Jake not so much!

Kindergarten is HERE!

Someone please tell me where the days and years go!

Gabrielle started Kindergarten on the 6th and is LOVING it. She came home yesterday so excited about her friends, her new friends, her teachers, lunch, everything they did in the classroom, music, recess, and gym! She had so much to tell us. My heart is overwhelmed with love and excitement that her 1st day was great and she was excited to go back. She is such a loving, fun and caring little girl. WE are so proud of her (to say the least). Love ya Gabrielle!
(also on a side note she has a tooth that is waiting to come out! We are excited for the tooth fairy to visit!)

Avery is missing her sister while she is at school and hopes to someone hitch a ride to school with sissy and end up in class with her! She tries getting out the door with Gabrielle when she leaves in the morning! Avery is growing into such a character. As my dad called me when i was little "a ham", I think Avery is taking after me then! She is a great little girl! And ACTIVE! We are still working on potty training her and getting her into her own bed! But with a newborn in the house, everything was slowed down! We will get it done!

Landon is now 2 months old! He is going to be a very tall boy I have a feeling. I think he has grown about 3-4 inches since his 2 week appt. He is Turing into a great smiley little boy! He is "cooing" and "talking" also! Once and a while we almost get a giggle out of him ( soon I am sure!)
He enjoys his sisters a lot. When he hears or sees them he smiles! Gabrielle is a great little helper to keep him happy. And Avery like checking on him to and is a little to hands on with him sometimes, but she means well!
(yes I need to take more pictures I know!) This weekend i hope to do that!

Jake and I Last but not least us! Pretty much all the same! I finished my EMT classes, passed my written test and skills test, now just waiting on the National Test! Then it will be official! I have been going on some more calls and am enjoying it a lot! Otherwise being a mommy and wife keeps me SUPER BUSY! And Jake has been working and soon will become busier with harvest!
